Having been a dance teacher for the past 20 years I have a unique skill set that sets me apart from other family photographers. My background in movement, expression and storytelling gives me an edge when creating images that feel natural, emotional and full of life. My deep appreciation for storytelling means I am passionate about creating images for you that show your connections, personalities and the little moments that make your family your family. My teaching experience translates perfectly into my family photography sessions. I know how to give clear, encouraging direction, especially to families with young children, that keep children engaged and your session enjoyable. Whether you prefer a fun-filled outdoor session or a cosy in-home shoot, I will work with you to capture beautiful memories of love, fun and connection that feels like you.
The Experience
From our initial contact my goal is to create a stress-free and enjoyable experience. I will provide you with a styling guide to help take the worry out of what to wear, and work with you to decide on a location for your photoshoot where you and your family will feel most comfortable. The sessions are fun, engaging and full of life and typically last 60-90 minutes. I'll guide you with gentle prompts (think: "whisper something silly in Mummy's ear" or "race to me as fast as you can"), creating real interactions that bring out genuine emotions and add movement to your images. I'll capture the giggles, the cuddles and those quiet in-between moments. No stress, just a relaxed, fun session where you get to be you and leave with beautiful and authentic images of your family story that you will treasure forever.
Family Photography
For me family photography is about capturing those real, unscripted moments - kids running, parents swinging their child in the air, a family laughing together. My ability to recognise graceful, natural movement allows me to anticipate the perfect moment to push the shutter and capture frame-worthy images of your family that feel natural and beautiful. Whether you're celebrating a new arrival or simply want to capture your family at this moment in time before everything moves on and changes again!
